Jason W. Ceyanes, Sr., Ph.D., CFP®, CKA®, joined Encompass Advisory Services, LLC in 2019. He is the majority managing ownership partner and serves as President/CEO and Investment Advisor Representative. Previously, Jason was a representative at MWA Financial Services for over seven years, where he served as a Managing Partner, Senior Investment Advisor, Registered Representative, and Investment Advisor Representative. He holds the CFP® certification and earned the Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) designation in 2026.
The CFP® designation represents one of the highest standards in the financial planning profession, requiring rigorous education, a comprehensive examination, ongoing continuing education, and a commitment to ethical, fiduciary, and holistic client-centered financial planning. The CKA® designation reflects advanced training in integrating biblical wisdom with financial planning, equipping advisors to help clients align financial decisions with faith-based values while upholding professional excellence and fiduciary responsibility.
Prior to entering the financial services industry, Jason was a public-school educator for 18 years, including five years as a small school superintendent. He taught high school biology and served as a high school coach, assistant principal, principal, district-level administrator, and ultimately school superintendent. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, a Master’s Degree in Educational Mid-Management from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station. Jason also taught the Personal Money Management course as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston–Clear Lake from 2018 to 2025.
Jason’s professional experience includes comprehensive financial planning, asset preservation through risk management, savings and investing strategies, retirement planning, estate and business planning, wealth accumulation and management, and retirement income distribution. He also has extensive experience working with the Teacher Retirement System and Social Security benefits.
Jason has been married for 30 years to Kimberly Ceyanes, a retired physician assistant of 25 years. They have six children—four boys and two girls—and six grandchildren. They attend Second Baptist Church in Katy, Texas, and their favorite scripture is: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6.
